Desk Accessories That Earn Their Space: Stands, a Speaker and a Pen Holder

Most desks collect clutter faster than they collect useful things. The best accessories do a job and look good while doing it. Here are three desk pieces from our shop that each solve one problem, plus how to decide which ones you need.

For a Console: Switch 2 Display Stand

The Switch 2 Display Stand is $42 and gives a Switch 2 a proper home on the desk or shelf. It comes in pink, red, green, purple, blue, black or yellow. It keeps the console on display and tidies up a gaming setup.

For Your Phone: Retro Amp Phone Speaker Stand

The Retro Amp Phone Speaker Stand is $35. It is a passive acoustic sound chamber, so the sound gets louder and fuller when you drop your phone in, with no power needed. It works as both a phone stand and a speaker and fits most smartphones. It suits desks, nightstands and workshops.

For Pens and Tools: Custom Brake Caliper Pen Holder

The Custom Brake Caliper Pen Holder starts at $36. It has multiple compartments for pens, pencils, scissors and markers. Styles include AMG in orange or green, Porsche in yellow or red, BMW M in red or blue, and Audi RS in blue, plus a custom color option for $5 more.

How to Decide What You Need

  • Cables and gadgets everywhere? Start with the console stand so your most-used device has a place.
  • Watching videos or taking calls at your desk? The speaker stand holds the phone upright and amplifies it.
  • Pens scattered across the desk? The caliper holder keeps them in one spot.

Placement Tips

  1. Keep the tallest item at the back or one side so it does not block your screen.
  2. Group small items on one side of the desk to leave a clear work area.
  3. Choose one accent color and repeat it, such as a blue stand with a blue caliper.

Gift Angle

All three work as gifts for people who spend time at a desk, and the pen holder in particular suits car people. If you are shopping for a gamer, read gift ideas for gamers. For setup ideas, see gaming setup decor.
