How to Set Up a Drop Zone by the Door with a Key Tray and Key Holder

Pick the spot first

Choose the wall or surface you pass as you come in. If you already toss things on a console, use that. If you have a bare piece of wall by the door, that works too. The closer it is to the door, the more likely you are to use it.

Keys are only part of it. Wallets, sunglasses, earbuds and loose change need a place too. A tray keeps them corralled, so the surface under it stays clear. Keep it to three things
