The Vault Monthly Surprise: How It Works and Who It Makes Sense For

The Vault is our monthly surprise plan. You build a list of items you love from the store, and each month we choose from that list and ship to you. It is simple once you see the steps, so here is how it works and who it fits.

How It Works

  1. Pick your first item. Choose any item in the store for your first box, except the limited-supply LED neon signs and the XL Porsche Crest.
  2. Build your list. Add at least 10 items you love, with at least 4 under $30.
  3. We choose each month. Every month we randomly choose from your list: one item on Starter, two on Collector.
  4. No repeats. Nothing repeats until every item on your list has shipped.

Terms to Know

  • There is a 60-day minimum, which is 2 monthly payments, and then you can cancel any time.
  • Promo codes do not apply to the monthly subscription.

Who It Makes Sense For

The plan suits people who enjoy a surprise and already like a lot of what we carry. If you collect key holders, light boxes or desk pieces, a list is easy to fill. It also works for someone who wants to spread out buying over time instead of ordering everything at once.

Who Might Prefer a Regular Order

If you want to choose the exact item and color on your timeline, a regular order is the better fit. Items such as the tic tac toe board have color options, so check what you want before you put it on a list.

Tips for Building a Good List

  1. Mix price levels. You need at least four items under $30, such as key holders or emblem wall art.
  2. Include a few bigger pieces from the Light Boxes collection or Wall Clocks collection.
  3. Only add things you would be happy to receive, since each month is a surprise.

Is It a Good Gift?
