Retro Red & White, Red Bull or Porsche Crest: Choosing a Shelf-Size Light Box

If you want a light-up piece without committing to a whole feature wall, a shelf-size light box is the easy place to start. They look very different, so the choice mostly comes down to the room and the mood you want.

What they have in common

All three plug in by USB, so you can power them from a wall adapter, a power bank or a computer port where the product description allows it. Retro Red & White Light Box ($50)

The Retro Red & White Light Box is the most graphic of the three. It is about 10 inches wide with bright, even LED light and a clean, minimal display design. The bold red and white palette suits bars, lounges, garages and desks, and it works well when you do not want to tie the room to one car brand.

Red Bull Light Box ($44)

The Red Bull Light Box measures 10" x 7" and shows the logo in blue, red and yellow. It is built for gaming setups, race rooms and garages, and the colors pop against a dark wall or monitor bezel. Pair it with a desk stand or shelf and it becomes the accent that makes a setup look planned.

Porsche Crest Light Box ($44)

How to pick

Placement tips
